The 2009-2010 season at the Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts opens Thursday Sept.10 at 7:30pm with one of today's most talked-about chamber music ensembles, the Ahn Trio. Three Korean-born, Juilliard-trained sisters are breathing new life into the standard piano trio literature, dissolving the barriers between art forms. Then on Wednesday Sept.16 at 7:30pm, Chicago's legendary comedy theatre Second City returns to Hammons Hall with a new evening of satire and cutting-edge improv, in a performance intended for MATURE audiences. The Emerging Artist concert series resumes on Wednesday Sept.23rd at 7:30 with another talented Korean-born musician, violinist Hahn-Bin in a solo recital, with seating right on the Hammons Hall stage and a meet-the-artist reception following the performance. The Hall's Broadway Series opens October 9-11 with the national touring company of "Mamma Mia!" For more information visit www.hammonshall.com.
