More than a dozen musical acts will be featured at the 62nd annual Original Ozark Folk Festival Nov.5-7 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas--the longest continually-running folk music festival in the country. It offers both seasoned performers and relative newcomers. Veteran recording artist and actor Loudon Wainwright the Third will be the headline act Friday Nov.6th at the City Auditorium ("The AUD") in Eureka Springs, and Saturday night's headliner is California native Gary Jules, considered one of the best American singer-songwriters of the past decade. Other events include the Queen's Contest Thursday night Nov.5; a parade at 2pm Saturday Nov.6; the free Singer/Songwriter Contest show on Friday as well as other free concerts all weekend on two stages, one in Basin Spring Park and the other between The Aud and the county courthouse from noon to 4pm Friday and Saturday. Also on Saturday the 6th, several folk veterans including Michael Brewer, Larry Lee,Randle Chowning, Lyal Strickland and Mark Bilyeu, will perform as part of the "Songwriters in the Round" show from 4 to 6pm.
