Allegiant Air, a budget airline that flies out of the Springfield-Branson National Airport, has some winter sales on airfare.

The fares are all one-way prices, and they begin at $52—that’s a one-way price from Springfield to Orlando/Sanford (SFB), or to Tampa/St. Petersburg (PIE).   Those fares are on certain days, starting in February and going through April, 2014.

Fares to Las Vegas and Phoenix are also lower than usual.  Kent Boyd is a spokesman for the Springfield-Branson National Airport.

“Sales in the winter months are not uncommon, and the reason for it is because in the first part of the year—January, February, March—that is the point in the year when the fewest people are flying. So airlines in general will try to boost sales by having big fare sales. And at this point, it’s looking like Allegiant is trying to get out in front of the ball, so to speak,” Boyd said.

Allegiant is an all-jet airline that was founded in 1997.  To see those deals and to select your travel dates, you can go to www.allegiantair.com.
