The Christian County Animal Shelter will be hosting a Pet Adoption Day tomorrow in Ozark. KSMU's Megan Keathley reports.
All the animals up for adoption from the Christian County Animal Center are current on all shots and in need of a loving home. Kathleen Copeland, recording secretary for the CCAS, says that volunteers will be on hand to help match dogs and other animals to ideal prospective owners.
Copeland says the goal of the event is not to make money, but an adoption fee is required to cover the cost of shots and anesthesia needed to spay or neuter the pet. The fee will be between sixty and seventy dollars, depending on the size of the animal. Copeland says the true purpose of Adoption Day is to place the animals in a happy home.
The CCAS Pet Adoption Day will take place at Orscheln Farm & Home in Ozark from 10 AM to 4 PM tomorrow. For more information, or if you would like to volunteer with the shelter, call (417) 581 1210.
