Dickerson Park Zoo and Friends of the Zoo will partner with the Springfield Regional Arts Council for the 7th annual Art Gone WILD! on Saturday, June 26, from noon to 4 p.m. Four hands-on art stations will be open for children ages 12 and younger, where kids can create colorful birds, make a baby chick's next, simple origami animal shapes, and do feather painting--all utilizing recycled or reused materials. Art Gone WILD! activities are free with paid zoo admission. Buckets 'n' Boards will perform from 1:30 to 3:30pm; and Krispy Kreme will provide free doughnuts. The first 100 kids participating in the Arts Council's "Free Art Day" at the Creamery on June 26 from 10 am to noon will receive free admission that afternoon to the Zoo.
