“Art for Haiti,” a benefit exhibit of two- and three-dimensional artwork by 10 Springfield/Branson area artists, will open June 18 with a reception for the artists from 7-9 p.m. at The Gallery at National Avenue Christian Church, 1515 S. National. The reception is free and open to the public; coffee and dessert will be served. The Seed will perform live reggae music. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the artwork will go to Planting Peace, an aid organization which operates four orphanages, a medical clinic, and a school in Haiti. The exhibit will hang in the gallery through July 18. Featured artist is Holly Elkins, who will show about 20 acrylic and watercolor paintings and photographs. Other artists involved are Jacob Burmood, pottery and sculpture; Diane Baum, photography; Ann Marie Rausch, painted furniture; T.S. Lewis, mixed medium painting; Dolores Bauer, acrylic painting; John L.
