Bass-baritone Dr. Michael Sǔst, a native of the Czech Republic who currently serves as senior pastor of Harvest Bible Chapel in St. Louis, will perform an Artist Series concert at Evangel University at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22 in the Barnett Fine Arts Recital Hall. The program will include excerpts from the "Biblical Songs" by Dvorak; Samuel Barber's "Dover Beach;" arias from Rossini's "Barber of Seville," Verdi's "Nabucco," and Mozart's "Don Giovanni;" and music by Rimsky-Korsakov, Donizetti, Gounod and more. Dr. Linda Ligate, professor of music at Evangel, will provide piano accompaniment. In addition, Sǔst will conduct a vocal master class from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, in the Barnett Fine Arts Recital Hall. The concert and master class are free and open to the public.
