The Branson Tea Party Coalition will be holding a "Pre-Election Pink Slip Rally and Concert" at the Tri-Lakes Center in Branson this Saturday. KSMU's Justin Lux has the story.
In an attempt to generate some enthusiasm before the November 2nd election, the Branson Tea Party Coalition will host Grammy winning recording artist and tea party supporter Ray Stevens. Organizers say the keynote speaker is Dr. Milton Wolf, Barack Obama’s 2nd cousin.
Branson Tea Party Director Eric Farris says the event, which will take place ten days before the election, is encouraging voters to give a “pink slip” to any politician they feel has neglected to keep voters’ best interests in mind.
The event is at 2527 State Highway 248 in Branson, Missouri and will begin at 10:30 a.m. with a roadside rally.
The Branson Tea Party Coalition is registered with the larger conservative group Tea Party Patriots. On its website, the Branson group states that its main concerns are fiscal responsibility, constitutionally limited governments, and free markets.
For KSMU News, I’m Justin Lux.
