According to Secretary of State Robin Carnahan, Missouri nonprofit organizations and businesses can file their registration reports online to save time and money. All reports are due to be filed in her office by Aug. 31. KSMU’s Rebekah Clark has more.
The fee for an online annual report filing is $10 compared to $15 for an annual paper filing, according to a press release from her office. The online two year registration, which nonprofits have the option to do instead, is also cheaper, $20 versus $30 for paper filing.
Carhanan’s office says nonprofits can also receive a print of the registration report form online.
State law requires a fee of $5 if a registration report is not received by the end of August. Failure to file a report by November 30 will result in the business being quote “administratively dissolved.”
