The Child Advocacy Center will hold a ceremonial groundbreaking on Tuesday, March 10for an expansion of the center. KSMU’s Alvin Chen reports.
The Child Advocacy Center, or CAC, is an organization that provides services to children who are alleged victims of child abuse.
Zach Adams is the assistant director of the CAC. He says the expansion will add a second program area to the center’s existing facilitates.
The new service area includes a family waiting room, an interview room, an observation room, and a medical examination room.
Adams says the expansion is meaningful to the center, and it takes the services of the center to a higher level.
Adams also says the completion of the project will be in late July, or early August.
