Twenty-three City Utilities employees are in Independence, Missouri today to help restore power to customers whose lights when out because of strong storms. KSMU's Missy Shelton reports.
Four crews from City Utilities went to Independence to assist with power restoration efforts.

It costs money to send crews to other cities...but Alexander says C-U won't pick up the tab.
The line crews left Springfield around 1 this afternoon to head to Independence.
