Community Center kids present performance at exhbit at the Creamery on July 30

One hundred underserved students from the Springfield Community Center will present “I Am... Exploring World Cultures," a performance and exhibition celebrating the conclusion of the Springfield Regional Arts Council's Arts in the Park Summer Workshops on Friday, July 30, 2010 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at The Creamery Arts Center. During these workshops at the Creamery, area arts organizations each spend a week with Springfield Community Center students grades K through 8, to introduce them to music, dance, theater, literary and visual arts. Springfield Ballet, Springfield Little Theatre, SRO Lyric Theatre, Springfield Symphony Orchestra, the Claymobile and professional teaching literary and visual artists all present a well-rounded educational experience during their designated weeks. The performance and exhibit are free and open to the public on Friday the 30th at the Creamery Arts Center, 411 N. Sherman Parkway just west of Hammons Field.
