Beginning April 1, CoxHealth and the Springfield Neurological and Spine Institute will host neurosurgical residents from the University Of Missouri School Of Medicine. KSMU’s Melanie Foehrweiser has details.
According to a release from CoxHealth, the residents will be taking part in surgical rotations. The rotations will give the residents a chance to develop experience in the operating theatre, as well as work on their leadership and managerial skills.
Residents will also have a chance to take part in research and a clinical education class. Those taking part in the program are second and fourth year residents. Their rotations will last six months.
