As of 10:30 this morning, 2500 City Utilities customers had reported power outages caused by the storm. But CU spokesman Mark Viguet (vee-GAY) says the actual number of outages is probably around 8000.He says they’re unsure when power might be restored…
"We're in the process of both doing restoration and damage assessments as we go through the day."
Viguet says all CU crews are working to restore power and they're also using contracted line men.
CU customers should call 1-888-863-9001 to report a power outage.
Meanwhile, CU officials are warning residents to stay away from any downed line and call CU immediately.
