Traffic between Ozark and Branson on Highway 65 will be reduced to two lanes starting next week. KSMU’s Brittany Donnellan reports.
The lane-shift will begin on Monday, April 2, and will last until early July, according to a release from the Missouri Department of Transportation. Highway Patrol troopers will help direct the lane shift.
MODOT says the shift is needed so that construction workers can replace the decks on two southbound bridges. The sections of two-way traffic will be about a mile and a half long each.
Southbound Route 65 traffic will shift into what is normally the northbound lane about 2-1/2 miles south of Route EE at Ozark. MODOT warns drivers to use caution when driving through any work zone.
