The Eagles, one of the best-selling American bands of all time, will play the inaguaral concert in the new JQH Arena at Missouri State University.
The band that produced the greatest hits "Peaceful, Easy Feeling," "Take It Easy," and "Desperado" will be rolling into Springfield this fall to play the inaugural concert in the new JQH Arena at Missouri State University.
University officals made the announcement late Wednesday afternoon.
Randall Blackwood of MSU's Athletic and Entertainment Facilities said he hopes the high-profile performance of The Eagles will reclaim Springfield's position on the national touring chart for musical groups of their caliber.
Since their debut in the early 1970s, The Eagles have had five number one singles and six number one albums, including "Hotel California."
The Eagles will perform at the new arena the night of November 13. Tickets will go on sale next week.
