Student journalists at Evangel University have earned some bragging rights: their student newspaper has been nominated for the Online Pacemaker Award, the highest honor given by the Associate Collegiate Press. KSMU’s Amber Carr has details.
The Pacemaker Award is based on design, ease of navigation, writing and editing, and graphics--and the online paper must be run by students.
Evangel’s paper, called “The Lance,” has served the student body for more than 40 years, according to the release from the university. It covers campus and national news.
All students, regardless of their majors, are encouraged to work at the online paper. Winners of the Pacemaker Award will be announced this fall.
For KSMU News, I’m Amber Carr.
