The Springfield Conservation Nature Center, along with Recycled Fish, will host the Fly Fishing Film Tour Thursday Oct.14 from 6:30 to 8:45pm. The evening will include short films from Beattie Productions, Mad Phil Media, World Angling, Creekside Media, Last Cast Media, Confluence Films, and more. This will be the only opportunity to see the films in Missouri. The tour, now in its 4th year, showcases some of the best independent, outdoor filmmakers and will energize, entertain, and educate outdoor enthusiasts with cutting edge films. Each film has a unique flavor and message. While all of them showcase cinematography, each has its own blend of humorous commentary, engaging storytelling, and some of the largest and most impressive fish ever caught. The common thread that permeates all of these films is the desire to encourage conservation. Registration is required for this free event as seating is limited. Call the Nature Center at 888-4237. The Nature Center is located at 4601 S. Nature Center Way near the Republic Road/James River Freeway/Glenstone interchange.
