Free Flu Shots Still Available in Greene County

If you live in Greene County and you haven’t received a flu shot, you might still be able to get one for free. KSMU's Jennifer Moore reports.

The Springfield-Greene County Health Department has a limited supply of flu vaccine still available at no cost for children and adults considered to be at high risk. Those who qualify are: senior adults age 65 and older, children aged six months to five years old, pregnant women, those with chronic health conditions and those who are in close contact with the ill, nursing homes, infants, or those considered to be high risk. Adults who do not fall under the “high-risk” category may purchase a flu short for 29 dollars. Anyone interested in getting a flu vaccine should call the Westside public health center at 874-1220.
