The election is 15 days away, and voters guides for the election are now available to the public in Greene and Christian counties. The guides are published by the League of Women Voters of Southwest Missouri. KSMU's Alvin Chen reports.
Leslie Carrier is the Voter Services chairperson for the League of Women Voters of Southwest Missouri. She says the guides help voters to be better informed on candidates and other information which will appear on the ballot.
Carrier encourages voters to pick up the guides and make informed voting decisions.
The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan organization which began in 1920 with the objective of educating citizens about government.
Voters guides are available at multiple locations in Greene County and Christian County, including public libraries and senior centers.
Voters may view and dowload the guide at www.lwvswmo.org, or pick up a free copy while supplies last at the following locations:- Greene County: All Springfield-Greene County libraries, Northview Senior Center, Southside Senior Center, Hammons Heart Center, Democratic Headquarters, Republican Headquarters, Missouri State University Library, Webster University, Evangel University, and Drury University.- In Christian County: Christian County Library in Ozark, Ozark Senior Center, Nixa Senior Center, Nixa Chamber of Commerce, and OTC-Richwood Valley Campus.
