On Friday July 2nd, Randy Bacon’s Gallery Sounds Concert Series at 600 W. College will present an all-ages, smoke-and-alcohol-free 4th of July show featuring two acts. Harry and the Potters, featuring brothers Paul and Joe DeGeorge have been viewed nearly 3 million times on MySpace and have played nearly 500 shows in 49 states and several foreign countries--and they've done it COMPLETELY independently, without managers, booking agents, recording budgets, publicists, record labels, or anything aside from a sense of enthusiasm and a desire to have fun. Also that night, the Scribbles. This trio of 13-year-olds (!) is one part indie hipsters, one part vaudeville act, with a wacky, theatrical show. They write all their own songs and play instruments as diverse as ukulele and glockenspiel. For more information on this show, call Randy Bacon Gallery at 868-8179.
