Gifting real estate has its benefits

Communities and non profit organizations across southern Missouri can benefit from a new program from the Community Foundation of the Ozarks.

Mike Smith has the story:

In its on-going effort in developing strategies to build assets for communities and non profit organizations, the Community Foundation of the Ozarks has established the "Ozarks Charitable Real Estate Foundation". Community Foundation of the Ozarks president Gary Funk says the new foundation will provide donors with a service laden vehicle for making real estate donations to their favorite non profit organization or local community foundation.

The community Foundation of the Ozarks mission is to improve the quality of life in the Missouri Ozarks through endowment building, asset development, and community based grant making. CFO is comprised of 23 affiliated community foundations with over 470 charitable funds totaling over 52 million dollars. Gary funk says the CFO has several successful models from which the Ozarks Charitable Real Estate Foundation has grown, including the donation of properties in several communities, including Springfield and Carthage .

Funk says gifting real estate provides many benefits to those who make property available the Community Foundation of the Ozarks. For more information about CFO's Charitable Real Estate Foundation, www.cfozarks.org , or 417-864-6199.
