Governor Blunt will interview the three candidates for Missouri's Supreme Court Tuesday. KSMU's Alvin Chen reports.
Members of the governor’s staff conducted initial interviews with the three candidates last month.
Jessica Robinson, the press secretary for the governor’s office, says Tuesday’s interviews are an important part of an extensive and transparent review process that includes background checks, a questionnaire, and interviews.
According to Robinson, Governor Blunt has 60 days to appoint one of the three candidates to the Supreme Court.
All of the information regarding the selection process is available on the governor’s website. That includes copies of the questionnaire the governor submitted, answers and responses from the three candidates, and an overview of the interview questions.
For KSMU News, I’m Alvin Chen.
