Several years ago, Kurt Heinlein, associate professor of theatre and dance, wrote a book about green theatre. The book explored if and how theatre can be used to address environmental issues. Support from the university has allowed Heinlein to combine the concept of "green theatre" with a project he has worked on about the disappearing wetlands in Louisiana. The result of the work is "Evangeline Drowning," a green theatre production told from the perspective of teenagers. Evangeline Drowning is being produced Feb. 25-27, 2010, at Missouri State.
