The Greene County Commission met with Governor Matt Blunt's administration Tuesday afternoon to talk about the financial needs of the county.
The commissioners met with Mike Keathley, the commissioner of the state's Office of Administration.
Dave Coonrod is the presiding Greene County Commissioner. He says the commission brought several key issues to Keathley's attention but the main concern of the county has to do with covering the cost of housing the state's prisoners in the county jail.
Coonrod says the Commissioner of the Office of Administration was very receptive to the issues the Greene County Commission brought to his attention.
Coonrod says the county commission updated Keathley on developments related to the crime lab.
Coonrod says the commission asked for details of the state's involvement in the crime lab.
Coonrod says he doesn't expect to meet with Keathley again but likely will work with the chairs of the House and Senate budget committees on securing the county's priorities.
