Springfield Regional Arts Council will present Jeanne Duffey as guest speaker for the next meeting of the Creamery Writers Workshop, Thursday Aug. 13 at 7:00 pm in the board room at the Creamery Arts center, 411 Sherman Parkway across from Hammons Field. Duffey recently retired as community relations director for the Springfield-Greene County Library District after more than 20 years of service. During that time, she wrote a weekly column for the Springfield News-Leader. Jeanne is in fact an MU Journalism school gradaute who worked as a newspaper reporter for several years. The Creamery Writers Workshop is free and open to all writers, regardless of age or genre. No registration is required. The group meets the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month from 7 to 8:30pm at The Creamery Arts Center.
