Kickapoo High School theatre presents the Broadway hit musical “Chicago,” by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, Nov. 18-21. “Chicago” takes place in a 1920s cabaret that is performing the story of Roxie Hart, a girl who shoots her boyfriend and hires the best defense attorney in Chicago to help her out of a life-sentence in prison or possibly death. The attorney makes Roxie a star by playing off her innocent looks, much to the dismay of Velma Kelly, a jazz singer whose crimes landed her on the front page as well, but now she has lost her place in the limelight. The production features a live stage band and big dance numbers. Performances are 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday the 21st. For ticket information, call 523-8641.
