Professional cyclist and Fair Grove native Brad Huff will be participating in this year's First Annual Tour of Missouri later in the summer. The 6 day 600 mile race will take riders all across the state. Huff is now in the Ozarks training for his upcoming cycling season and he will be at the Springfield-Greene County Park Board Snowfest '07 this Saturday to sign autographs and take pictures. KSMU's Joe Morgan has the story.
With the Tour of Missouri less than three months away, Fair Grove native Brad Huff is in the midst an intensive training program gearing up for the cycling season. He is currently in the Ozarks preparing, but he will also make a stop at Snowfest '07 this Saturday from 5 to 6 pm to meet with fans for pictures and autographs. Huff says that the Tour of Missouri will be a great thing for Springfield.
Huff says that he was never good enough to compete in the normal college sports like baseball, football, and basketball. He says that cycling was something that just kind of happened.
Huff says that the potential success is what keeps him striving for more.
Huff says that cycling is a long term sport that involves a lot of time and dedication to achieve success. His advice to any aspiring cyclist is to have fun.
Huff will be at Snowfest this Saturday night from 5 to 6. He currently rides for Team Slipstream Sports powered by Chipotle. For KSMU News, I'm Joe Morgan.
