Springfield Mid-America Singers is looking for well-trained, experienced singers who are committed to singing as a life-long activity. Mid-America Singers will hold auditions for their 44th season July 26, 27 and 29 and again August 2nd and 3rd, all from 6 to 9pm at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2852 S. Dayton. Auditions will be scheduled by appointment only in 15-minute increments, with the last appointment each evening at 8:45pm. An accompanist will be provided. Singers will be asked to demonstrate scale singing to establish their vocal range, and to sing a solo of the auditioner's choosing. Members of the ensemble pay an annual donation-fee that includes one "comp" ticket per concert. Weekly rehearsals will begin September 7 and are held Tuesday evenings 6:30 to 9:00pm at Redeemer Lutheran.
