The chairman of the Council for American-Saudi Dialogue will be in Springfield tomorrow to talk about the importance of the relationship between the U-S and Saudi Arabia.

Les Janka has worked in foreign affairs under three presidents and now has his own consulting firm that assists U-S businesses operating in the Middle East.

Janka will speak tomorrow from noon to 1 at the Springfield Southeast Rotary meeting at St John's Cancer Center.

Janka says he'll be talking about how he's learned during his career that Saudia Arabia is a valuable asset for the U-S.

Janka says he hopes his Springfield audience will ask him the tough questions about Saudi Arabia and terrorism, women's rights and oil prices.

He says he hopes to clear up some misconceptions that many Americans have about the Saudis.

Janka says while Americans may have misconceptions about Saudis, Saudis have misconceptions about Americans.

If you want to hear Les Janka, he'll be speaking to the Springfield Southeast Rotary Club at St John's Cancer Center in Springfield tomorrow at noon.
