"Miracle on 34th Street" comes to the Landers in December

Coming in December at the Landers Theatre, 311 E. Walnut: Springfield Little Theatre presents a theatrical adaptation of "Miracle on 34th Street" Dec.2nd through 12th. Everybody loves the familiar tale of the kindly, bewhiskered man who believes himself to be the real Santa Claus, hired to be in the Macy’s parade by a harried young mother who had raised her daughter to not believe in Santa, and the mom’s lawyer/boyfriend who rescues all three of them. If you’ve seen the Academy Award winning film, you know the happy outcome. But knowing the ending does not diminish the power of this story to restore the Christmas spirit in even the most determined grinch. Performances at the Landers will be Thursdays through Saturdays at 7:30pm, with Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2:30pm. For tickets call the Landers box office at 869-1334 or visit www.springfieldlittletheatre.org.
