The firearms portion of Missouri's deer hunting season begins November 13th and continues through Nov 23rd. KSMU's Mike Smith talked about the annual event with Francis Skalicky of the Missouri Department of Conservation.

The season is open to any hunter 11 years of age or older, and begins November 13. Smith and Skalicky talked about rules and regulations related to deer hunting in Missouri, and about the Share the Harvest program through which sucessful hunters can donate venison to charitable organizations who will then distribut the meat to needy families across the state.
