Missouri State University’s Springfield campus set a new record for spring enrollment. KSMU’s Melanie Foehrweiser has details.
A release from the university says enrollment is up slightly from what it was last spring. The official spring 2012 enrollment is 19,715—that’s just eight students more than a year ago. Enrollments in some of the university’s colleges have also shown increases. The largest percentage increase was in the William H. Darr School of Agriculture, where the number of students enrolled has grown by over 15%. The College of Health and Human Services has also seen an 8% increase. Departments showing significant increases include sports medicine, nursing, hospitality and restaurant administration, and computer science.
