The Missouri State University Symphony Orchestra will present a fall concert Tuesday November 2nd at 7:00pm in the Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts. Featured guests will be the highly-regarded string orchestra from Liberty High School in North Kansas City, who recently returned from a tour of China. They and the MSU orchestra will perform separate numbers, and then combine for two closing selections. The orchestras will combine to perform Borodin’s “Polovtsian Dances” and portions of Stravinsky’s Firebird. No tickets are required, the concert is free and open to the public. Remember, it starts at 7:00pm, a half-hour earlier than usual, on Tuesday Nov.2nd. For more information call the MSU orchestra office at 836-5729.
