Native American program in Shell Knob Sat.Nov.20

In 1990 the President approved a joint resolution designating November as "National American Indian Heritage Month." On Saturday, November 20 the people of this area will have a unique opportunity to pay tribute to the original people of this land in what promises to be an exciting educational and cultural experience. Stone Akin and the American Indian Descendants Right of Heritage Organization will sponsor a program with American Indian fry bread, live Native American music, arts and crafts as well as seminars on American Indian History and the 2012 Mayan Calendar. The program will be held at the Shell Knob, Missouri Community Building, 1/2 mile south of the Table Rock Bridge on Hwy 39 from 6:00-8:30 pm. Admission is $8.00 for adults and $5.00 for children under 12. Proceeds will benefit the American Indian Descendants Right of Heritage Organization.
