A new tool is available so you can find the best prices for your prescription drugs.
KSMU's Matt Petcoff explains how you can search for the cheapest medications without leaving your home...
Through a new website called Price Compare, consumers can search through a list of pharmacies and compare their prices for prescription drugs.
Sarah Anderson is a Spokesperson for the Department of Social Services, which manages the website.
She says one of the best features of this program is how easy it is to use.
The prices listed on Price Compare are what the website calls a "usual and customary price".
This means the price you see online is the price the pharmacy charges the state through Medicaid.
This resource is available to all Missourians.
But, Anderson says it's especially handy for those on a Part D Prescription Drug Plan.
Price Compare lists both name brand and generic prescription drugs.
But, the website does warn that the prices listed are not guaranteed because prices can change at anytime.
To access Price Compare, visit www.morxcompare.mo.gov.
