For all you voters out there in Greene County, only one polling site will be different this November. KSMU’s Ryan Welch has this report.
Voters who usually go to Calvary Temple near the intersection of Grand and Campbell to vote will have a different place to go on November 2nd. The church is going to demolish that building, so the new polling place will be at Portland Elementary School. That’s on Portland and Missouri.
Chief Deputy County Clerk Lorrie Bruer says there will be something else new this year, as well.
“We are going to be, at our bigger polling places, using some new equipment that will make checking in of voters a lot faster,” said Bruer.
Even though the process should be faster than in the past, Bruer encourages voters to read up on and know how they want to vote ahead of time because the ballot is going to be a long one—two pages’ worth.
