Violinist Jesse Mills and pianist Rieko Aizawa, who call themselves "Duo Prism," have both previously appeared in Joplin's Pro Musica concert series. They'll perform with clarinetist Marlene Pauley Thursday January 20th at 7:00pm Webster Hall Corley Auditorium on the campus of Missouri Southern State University in Joplin. The concert includes Brahms' Violin Sonata No.2; a trio by Khachaturian; and Beethoven's "Kreutzer" Sonata. It's open to the public free of charge, but donations will be appreciated. Duo Prism’s appearance in Joplin is funded in part by the Vivian Leon Fund of the Community Foundation of Southwest Missouri and the Missouri Arts Council, a state agency. In addition to the free concert, they'll perform a bonus House Concert on Friday Jan.21st at 6:30pm; a limited number of $75 tickets are available for that night, which will include a cocktail buffet, the concert, and a champagne dessert.
