While many Missouri Democrats are in Denver this week for their national convention, Missouri Republicans are preparing for their convention. And the Missouri Republican Party has put out some press releases this week about the Democratic National Convention. KSMU's Missy Shelton reports.
Earlier this week, Missouri Democrats anticipated having good seats at the Democratic National Convention.
But Missouri Republican Party spokeswoman Tina Hervey says Missouri's delegates are in the nose-bleed section of the convention hall, indicating they're not important to Barack Obama's presidential campaign.
Springfield resident Jack Hembree is volunteering at the convention this week. He says the Missouri delegation's seat location is quite good.
Democrats say the state is very important to the Obama campaign and that's evident by the number of campaign staff and field offices all over Missouri.
