The Scottish St. Andrew’s Society of Springfield was organized in 2004 by former members of the Celtic Society of the Ozarks, to keep alive the memory of the Scots and Scots-Irish in the Ozarks, Missouri and the United States. Tickets are now available for the Society's annual "Robert Burns Night Supper" on Saturday, January 22 at The Doubletree Hotel, 2431 North Glenstone. Cocktails/social hour begins at 6.00 pm, and the two-hour program will begin at 6.45 pm. Burns Night is an annual celebration held the world over in honor of Robert Burns, Scotland's national poet, and includes traditional Scottish food, music, dancing, bagpipes, kilts, and other forms of Scottish culture. Internationally-known Scottish folk singer Colin Grant-Adams will be the featured entertainment for the evening. A cash bar will be available for those wishing wine, beer or spirits with their meals.
