The Senate lost a day's worth of work when four senators moved to adjourn. KSMU's Missy Shelton reports.
When a handful of Democratic senators realized they were the only ones left in the chamber, they successfully moved to adjourn.
That angered Republicans who had hoped to break the democrats' fillibuster by keeping them in session all day and into the night.
But Democratic Floor Leader Ken Jacob says the top Senate Republican Peter Kinder is the one manipulating the system to pass bad legislation.
Kinder has promised to shut off debate if democrats attempt to engage in extended debate this week...Stopping debate is rarely done in the senate.
