Missouri’s new senator in Washington, Roy Blunt, has unveiled a new way to keep in touch with constituents. KSMU’s Mike Donnelly reports.

Blunt announced the use of several online social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube in order to open a direct line of communication with Missourians.

On his new YouTube site, Blunt is recorded in a video message talking about these new tools.

“I’m working to ensure that Missourians can share their thoughts and input with, with through every available outlet. My Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube pages will serve as important outlets for me to provide updates on what’s happening in Washington, and maybe more importantly, for Missourians to share their thoughts directly with me,” Blunt says in the recorded message.

On these new sites, Missourians can expect to find constant updates, videos, photos, and personal insights from the Senator himself.

The senator’s new facebook page is www.facebook.com/senatorblunt, and he can be reached on Twitter at www.twitter.com/royblunt. To see Blunt’s video message, you can visit www.youtube.com/senroyblunt.

For KSMU News, I’m Mike Donnelly.
