Septic Tank Rebates Available to Table Rock Area Residents

Keeping your septic tank in good working order can now save you fifty bucks if you live in the Table Rock Lake area.

KSMU's Matt Petcoff has the story...

With the help of the Missouri Department of Conservation, Table Rock Lake Water Quality is offering a rebate to consumers with well maintained septic tanks.

Homeowners in the Table Rock Lake area first need to request a visit from Table Rock Lake Water Quality representative.

During the visit, the homeowner will receive information regarding proper care of their system and a list of pumping companies participating in the program.

The homeowner then fills out a form, which must be signed by the pumper, and sends the information in for their fifty dollar rebate.

Gopala Borchelt is the projects director with Table Rock Lake Water Quality.

She says maintaining a clean system will increase efficiency, saving you money, while helping keep the Ozarks clean.

The Pump-Out program, as it is called, is similar to the James River Basin Partnership pump-a-million-gallons campaign.

Homeowners can reapply for the rebate as many times as they want, granted they take part in the process each time.
