Skaggs Community Health Center in Branson has received, for the fourth year, an award of excellence from Health Grades, the leading health care rating company that rates non-federal hospitals. Skaggs ranked in the top five percent for overall clinical excellence of hospitals across the nation.
Michelle Leroux, spokesperson for the hospital, said as of today, the health care facility is also changing its name.
Leroux said the hospital will now be called "Skaggs Regional Medical Center."
LeRoux said the switch from “community” to “regional” in the hospital’s name indicates that the center intends to continue its growth throughout the Ozarks.
