A lot of people woke up Monday morning to see snow flying outside their windows. And experts say that the snow will continue before temperatures turn even colder. KSMU’s Xiaowen Tan reports.
The National Weather Service is forecasting about 2 to 3 inches of snowfall here in the Springfield area by Tuesday morning. Doug Cramer is a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Springfield. “As we getting to Tuesday night and to Wednesday, the National Weather Service is forecasting overnight lows to fall down to about 3 degrees here in Springfield. And the cold weather will hang on for another day after that as we get into Wednesday night and Thursday morning even colder temperatures will spread across the region. We could drop down to 1 or 2 degrees,” Cramer said.
But it will finally warm up little bit by Friday, when we will get some sunshine as well.
