The first Springfield SketchCrawl for local and regional artists will take place Saturday Sept.19 at 10 a.m. on Commercial Street in Springfield. The Springfield SketchCrawl is being held in conjunction with other Sketchcrawls around the world--it's a drawing marathon encouraging all artists to take a day to journal and draw all that is around a particular location. Interested artists need to meet at Jefferson Avenue Footbridge at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 19. Anyone can participate, whether to draw for 20 minutes or the full day, and any level of ability is welcome from veteran artists to first time sketchers.
