Springfield Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Norm Ridder is a finalist for the job of superintendent with the public school district in Lincoln, Nebraska. In a press release from the Springfield district, Ridder said he applied for the job because it would put him closer to family. Ridder is a native of Nebraska. This news comes less than two weeks after the Springfield School Board unanimously extended Ridder’s contract with the district through the 2012-2013 school year.
