Storm Drain Reveal

For the last four years, "Rain Barrel Reveal" has been a highly successful project promoting art and the use of rain collection barrels. This year the Springfield Regional Arts Council, the City of Springfield and the James River Basin Partnership are turning their attention toward another important aspect of water education awareness: storm drains. Artists are invited to share their talent as a part of the first "Storm Drain Reveal"-- a project giving artists the opportunity to express themselves with semi-permanent public art in the form of a small-scale outdoor storm drain mural. This project, in addition to involving the local art community, is intended to have a positive impact on water quality protection. Artists interested in showcasing their talent for Reveal are asked to contact Tiffany Frey at James River Basin Partnership-- call 836-6183 or email tfrey [at] missouristate [dot] edu. The deadline to submit an application is February 25nd.
