Temperatures to Drop Drastically Friday

Although you didn’t need your heavy winter coat when you walked outside this morning, you’ll definitely need it by this afternoon. A cold front is moving into the Ozarks today, causing temperatures to drop quickly. KSMU’s Jennifer Moore spoke with meteorologist Eric Wise from the National Weather service in Springfield.

Wise said a cold front pushing through the region should result in some light drizzle throughout Friday afternoon and into the night. Temperatures are already dropping; highs Saturday will be in the lower 30s for most locations in the Ozarks. Wise also said the wind will be blustery Saturday.
He added that Sunday will provide a brief respite from the cold weather; the area might see temperatures in the 50s on Sunday. But Monday will bring another cold front, he said.
