USDA Chief in Springfield for Farm Bill Forum

A farm bill forum brings the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture to Springfield. KSMU's Missy Shelton reports.

The U-S Secretary of Agriculture, Mike Johanns was in Springfield today for a forum on the Farm Bill that's set to expire in 2007.

The current farm bill will expire in 2007 and Congress is looking at passing a new version in 0-7.

More than 200 farmers turned out at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds E-Plex to hear him speak and share their concerns.

At a press conference before the forum, Johanns announced that Missouri will receive a grant to address water quality issues.
